Just 7 Simple Ingredients

You only need a few simple ingredients to whip up this glaze. I've only tested this glaze recipe with light brown sugar and not dark brown sugar, so please keep that in mind!
All the ingredients are mixed together (except for the powdered sugar!) and then after melting it on the stove, the powdered sugar is added. See, I told you it was easy!
The Perfect Glaze

Let It Firm Up
Let the glaze firm up for around 5-10 minutes. I found when testing this recipe that if I waited too long, the glaze would get too thick and not drip down the sides like I wanted. If this happens to you, you can gently warm it up on the stove again!
Just Add Baked Goods!
There are so many ways you can use a glaze like this; here are a few ways I would use it -
- Cinnamon rolls - this brown sugar glaze and some soft and fluffy brown butter cinnamon rolls? A dream.
- Dip cookies into it for a little glazed cookie situation.
- Pour over bundt cakes, loaf cakes, and pound cakes.
- Drizzle over a muffin.
- Dip baked donuts into the glaze.

- Simmer for 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla. It might sputter a bit, which is fine!1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whisk in the powdered sugar. Whisk until smooth, then let sit for 5-10 minutes before drizzling over your baked goods. If you let it sit too long, it'll be too firm and won't be pourable.½ cup powdered sugar
