Triple Chocolate Layer Cake

Whisk together all of the dry ingredients for the chocolate cake layers. 

In a large bowl or jug, whisk together all of the wet ingredients.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and combine everything until smooth.

Pour the cake batter into 3 8-inch baking pans and bake!

Make the filling. Heat the heavy cream and pour over chopped chocolate.

Whisk until smooth then let cool to room temperature. Use a mixer to beat until fluffy.

Make the frosting. Melt the chocolate and let cool. 

Beat the softened butter and confectioners' sugar until smooth. 

Beat in cocoa powder, then pour in the melted chocolate and sour cream. Beat until spreadable. 

Assemble the cake! Fill the cake with the whipped ganache and cover with chocolate frosting.
