Red Velvet Oreo Cookies

Step 1: Combine room temperature butter with white sugar and light brown sugar until fluffy.

Step 2: Add an egg and vanilla extract and beat for 1 minute.

Step 3: Pour in flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, baking soda, red food gel and white chocolate chips.

Step 4: Scoop out 1 tablespoon of dough. Place an Oreo on top, then another tablespoon of dough. Use your hands to wrap the dough around the cookie completely.

Step 5: Let the cookie dough balls chill in the fridge for 2 hours. This will make them extra thick when making them and they won't spread!

Step 6: Bake the cookies! Once out of the oven, press on extra white chocolate chips to get that bakery look.
