Peppermint Bark Brownies

Melt butter and chocolate in the microwave until smooth.

Whisk in brown sugar, sugar and eggs. Combine until thick. Add oil and vanilla extract.

Fold in flour, cocoa powder and salt. Combine until there are no more streaks of flour.

Pour into an 8x8 pan and bake for 23-25 minutes. Let cool. 

Beat butter and cream cheese together. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract.

Spread the peppermint cream cheese layer on top of the cooled brownies. Chill for 20 minutes.

Melt butter and chocolate in the microwave. Want it to be extra peppermint-y? Add a dash of peppermint extract!

Pour the melted chocolate on top of the chilled brownies. Sprinkle over crushed candy canes. 

Let the chocolate set (you can place in fridge to speed this up) and slice!
