One Bowl Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Step 1: Melt the butter in a bowl. Once cooled, whisk in the light brown sugar until smooth.

Step 2: Whisk in the mashed bananas, eggs, vanilla extract and buttermilk.

Step 3: Use a rubber spatula to fold in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices and salt.

Step 4: Stir in chocolate chips, but keep a small handful to the side. 

Step 5: Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle over those extra chocolate chips. 

Step 6: Bake the banana bread for 60-70 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing.
