Matilda's Chocolate Cake

This super fudgy chocolate cake is just like the cake from the movie Matilda! It's easy to make and covered in a chocolate fudge frosting.

Step 1: Whisk all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

Step 2: Whisk the wet ingredients in a bowl until smooth.

Step 3: Pour the wet into the dry and mix until smooth, then add the hot water.

Step 4: Pour the cake batter into two cake pans and bake in the oven.

Step 5: Combine the butter with the powdered sugar.

Step 6: Add the melted chocolate, cocoa powder and sour cream and mix.

Step 7: Frost the cooled chocolate cake and enjoy!
