French Macaron Recipe

Dissolve the egg whites and sugar over a double boiler

Whip with a stand mixer until you have a stiff peak which bends slightly at the tip

Fold in your almond flour and powdered sugar

Add your food coloring and vanilla extract

Fold until it has the consistency of lava and easily flows from your spatula

Pipe out on to your baking tray and add sprinkles

Bake, let cool, and then pipe your buttercream
