Chocolate Swirled Loaf Cake

Yum, so light and delicious. Very quick & easy. Thanks for such a great recipe.


Ingredients needed for the cake:

Whisk together your salt, baking powder and flour.

Cream your butter in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment for 2-3 minutes

Add your sugar to the butter and whip on high speed for 5 minutes 

Add in your vanilla extract and eggs one at a time. Make sure to scrape the bowl! 

Add in your flour mixture and sour cream in alternative additions, starting and ending with the flour

Remove half of the batter and add your cocoa powder. Use a spoon to scoop out the batter into a checkerboard pattern

Use an offset spatula to swirl the batter together in an 8 shape 

Bake at 325 degrees for an hour and ten minutes. Let cool while you make your ganache

Add your chopped chocolate to a bowl and pour over your cream. Microwave in 15 second bursts

Mix until smooth, then use a spoon to frost the top of your loaf
