Chai Cake

This moist and soft chai cake is made with chai infused milk! It's covered in a spiced chai buttercream.

Step 1: Warm up milk and add a chai teabag. Let infuse for a few minutes, then let the milk cool. 

Step 2: In a stand mixer, combine butter, oil and sugar until fluffy.

Step 3: Whisk all of the dry ingredients together. 

Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and sour cream.

Step 5: Add the dry ingredients in 3 additions, alternating with the chai infused milk.

Step 6: Pour into two 8-inch cake pans and bake. 

Step 7: Beat the butter and confectioners' sugar together.

Step 8: Add in the spices, salt and vanilla extract.

Step 9: Pour in some heavy cream and mix until spreadable. 

Step 10: Assemble your cake and enjoy!
