Buttercream Frosted Sugar Cookies 

Whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

In another bowl, combine butter with sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract.

Pour all of the dry ingredients into the wet, stir to combine. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

Scoop out 2 tablespoons of cookie dough and place on a parchment lined tray. Bake in the oven. 

To make the frosting, combine the butter with the powdered sugar. 

Add the heavy cream, vanilla and food gel. Mix until creamy.

Frost each cookie and add rainbow sprinkles!
